My client are looking for a Minor Projects / Small Works Estimator to further strengthen the Sales and
Estimating Team, as a result of strong growth. The company supply a wide range of services from Design,
Installation, Maintenance and Service of Fire Detection, Suppression, Security, Voice and Integrated Systems. The

Overview of Role:
The candidate will have extensive knowledge of the core systems within the Fire Industry and beyond, could suit an
individual from an engineering background, although other candidates with extensive knowledge of the Fire & Life
Safety Industry will also be considered.
For the right Fire Industry Professional there is an excellent opportunity to join a fast-growing UK owned company that
is moving forward and developing, working in a very well managed and organised department. This role will be
interesting and challenging and will require the candidate to work in the Birmingham based office and visits sites.
Assessing engineers’ worksheets and client enquiries to understand requirements to produce technically and
commercially accurate quotations.
Carry out site surveys to be able to produce quotations
Reading and understanding client specification, drawings and enquiries
Estimation and pricing of appropriate quotations ensuring they are technically and commercially correct
Producing professional, high quality quotations and technical submittals with all technical and commercial content
Discussing enquiries and proposals with clients to fully understand their requirements and present our proposal
to demonstrate the technical and commercial benefits Senseco can provide.
Evaluate and review incoming enquiries to assess if they are a good fit for Senseco to quote in line with our bid /
no bid policy
Design of Fire Systems to BS5839-1 and other systems from layout drawings (fit outs / modification of existing
systems and small complete systems)
To assist with achieving sales target each month
Skills Requirements:
Microsoft office literate
BS5839-1 Experience / training / qualifications
Technical knowledge of different types of Fire Alarm Systems from different manufacturers and associated systems
Knowledge of other related systems advantageous i.e. Gas Suppression, Water Mist, other extinguishing /
suppression systems, Voice Alarm / communication, Security (CCTV, access control, intruder)
Time management, and organisational skills
Must be able to work under pressure and be flexible to achieve client deadlines
Ability to multi-task to keep on top of enquiries / client deadlines.
Experience within the Fire Industry
Excellent negotiation skills
Previously experience within commercial environments
