Residential Estimator, Chelmsford:
The chosen candidate will be responsible for assisting the Estimating / Commercial department in managing the pre-construction cost plans and functions from site conception to start on site. This is a full-time position situated in Chelmsford, where you would be reporting to the Commercial Director. To ensure that our tenders are priced and delivered within required time frames, whilst also reviewing site specific documentation and undertaking a site take off on our inhouse measuring software.
Key Responsibilities
- Costing projects – on varying sites, greenfield, brownfield, flats, and traditional houses.
- Undertaking site take off – using our measuring software.
- Updating controlled sites / cost plans through our quarterly review process
- Value engineering projects and driving best value for delivery.
- Assist in loading procured sites on our internal software for our surveying department to begin their process.
- Assist surveyors with initial budgeting and assist where needed on initial enabling works / start on site-based tendering.
- Assisting Senior Estimator with updating our cost library based on our live projects / subcontractor data.
