Job Title: M&E Commercial Manager

Salary: £100,000 – 125,000 (Plus additional company benefits)

Location: Central London

A tier one M&E/Building Services Design & build Contractor who have been dominating the London commercial market and have well established themselves in the data centre market have secured themselves a strong order book for 2024/25.

With this strong pipeline, my client is increasing their commercial department from an intermediate level through to commercial manager level. This is an opportunity to become part of a growing engineering led business with lots of room to progress up the ranks and become chartered if that was ever an aspiration as my client wants their employee to achieve their full potential.

Said individual will need large major work experience with blue chip main contractors with project value upwards of £15 million M&E to be able to cope with the size of my clients projects which range from £30 million to over £100 million M&E Value.

Responsibilities

  • Liaise with the Contracts Managers in the procurement of Sub-Contractor packages and the preparation of the Sub-Contract documents.
  • To be located between site and the head offices in London.
  • Project experience from upwards of £15 million MEP.
  • To be able to travel between London sites and the Central Head office.
  • Previous experience taking a project from conception through to handover.
  • Supporting the monitoring of the progress of the Works.
  • The preparation and submission of contractual notices and / or correspondence to both the Client and Sub-Contractors.
  • The preparation, submission and agreement of Interim Applications and Final Accounts.
  • Preparation of cash flows, monthly cost reports and analysis of budgets.
  • Attend monthly commercial meetings to provide update on any ongoing contract specific negotiations and overall job performance.
  • Compile monthly progress reports for both the Contracts team & Commercial Manager.
  • preparing material and subcontractor procurement, valuation of works and financial reporting.
  • Liaising, negotiating, and relationship building with clients and consultants on an on-going basis.
  • Be responsible for securing the successful financial delivery of projects by controlling costs, progressing monthly valuations, and managing variations and change orders.
  • Liaising with contracts, estimating and pre-construction teams to obtain full understanding of each project scope.
