Job Title: Health and Safety Officer
Salary: £40,000 (including additional company benefits)

My client is a dynamic and innovative M&E provider based in Cambridge. The business has focused on delivering high quality installations and maintenance to customers in education, commercial offices, residential buildings, and airspace facilities. my client has now been acquired by an international leading private equity firm based in the United States. Due to this exciting and business evolving change to the company, they are now looking for a Health and Safety Officer to oversee strategy management of Health & Safety of a large 5-year project in the Lakenheath area. This is a great opportunity for a Health and Safety Officer to work for a rapidly expanding building Services Contractor and further your career alongside them.
Responsibilities/ Skills & Experience
- Ideally the individual should have a minimum of 5 years’ experience working in a similar position.
- Understand the Policies and Processes and statutory requirements as they affect the operations and ensure that the requirements are implemented.
- Managing and executing site inspections.
- Advising on and setting Operational team safety objectives.
- Supporting and undertaking investigations into accidents and incidents
- Assessing external environments for safe working
- Identifying any gaps in the H&S management system; recommending improvements
- Developing and implementing new initiatives or sharing best practice with colleagues
- Advising on and communicating new working practices in line with any new legislative requirements or best practice
- Actively encouraging Safety Observations and Hazard Reporting
