Engineering Supervisor

This large private developer is looking for an Engineering Supervisor for one of its East London Contracts. The business prides itself on helping people grow within their business and strives for its staff to make a difference and achieve the highest standards.
You will be either mechanically or electrically strong, and confident to motivate staff and communicate with all at all levels while coping with stressful situations. Knowledgeable in operational management, Health and Safety at work, and L8 Water Treatments, it is essential you help achieve the company vision, mission and values while adhering to core responsibilities within each job role that helps provide a consistent, safe, and effective approach, whilst improving the service that is delivered.
Based in a prime London postcode, this is a static site and a daytime role from 8am to 5pm Monday to Friday.
Included Duties
- Supervise a team of engineers, overseeing the delivery of planned and reactive maintenance.
- Compile quotations to the client and keep a close liaison and working relationship with the Client/Tenants.
- Issue relevant site Permits as part of the Safe System of Work, and comply with both statutory and company health, safety and environmental regulations and policies.
- Timely implementation and recording of statutory inspections including accurate recording of fire and water hygiene records and to ensure that Plant areas, workshops, stores, changing/rest areas etc. are all kept to the highest level of housekeeping.
- Ensure that daily tours are completed and repair or report any defects found via the Landlord/Tenant helpdesk and take responsibility for escalating critical incidents and producing and submitting incident reports within the prescribed timescales in conjunction with the Contract Manager.
Experience and Qualifications
You must have completed an apprenticeship in either mechanical or electrical engineering together with relevant certification. There must also be a demonstrable experience of electrical, mechanical and HVAC systems within a large complex as it is essential together with a flexible, innovative, and hands-on approach.
Benefits
The role comes with a salary of between £50,000 – £52,000 depending on experience.
