Contract Manager – Facilities and Building Services

Job

An FM/building maintenance Contract Manager is required to deliver a maintenance contract to multiple sites in the Cambridgeshire area, mostly consisting of commercial buildings.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with the correct experience to progress their career alongside the growth of the company.

Reporting directly to the head of the department, this is a high-profile role within the company.

You will be working for a privately owned, Cambridge-based facilities and building services company with massive plans for growth over the coming years. They have a great base of clients throughout the Cambridgeshire area, predominantly servicing commercial sites, as well as some sites in the education sector.

As the company continues to grow, they are looking for experienced and ambitious managers who can grow with the company and will be happy to take on more senior positions in the future.

Accountabilities:

  • You will lead a team of mobile engineers, driving service delivery and offering technical support where required.
  • You will be responsible for ensuring the team is meeting KPIs and delivering the contracts in line with SLAs.
  • You will be responsible for driving compliance, and health & safety.
  • You will also be responsible for managing a P&L budget of approximately £2.5m, ensuring increased profit.
  • Acting as the first point of escalation for multiple clients, you will present a professional manner and represent the company as well as possible.

Experience and Requirements

  • You will have a relevant technical qualification in a mechanical or electrical discipline; providing technical support to your team when required.
  • As well as being technically capable, financial proficiency is also essential to this role as you will be tasked with increasing the profitability of the contract.
  • Experience in managing teams of engineers is a requirement.
  • 5 years’ experience within facilities and building services is preferred.

Depending on experience this job will pay £40,000 – £50,000 plus a 10% bonus and comes with a generous package.
