Account Manager – Facilities & Building Maintenance – City of London – Commercial Portfolio

As Account Manager for a leading commercial maintenance service provider, you will be responsible for the delivery of a maintenance contract to one of their key clients, a commercial managing agent with a portfolio of office buildings across the City of London.
You will lead a team of circa 25 people, including a Contract Manager, Supervisors, and a team of multi-skilled maintenance Engineers.
You will also be responsible for ensuring the financial success of the account by taking charge of the P&L budget (circa £2.5m), and always looking for ways of winning extra-works.
Fostering a great working relationship with the client is essential to the long-term growth of the account; any expansion of the account will necessarily lead to rapid progression for the post holder.

ACCOUNTABILITIES:
- Line management of a team of circa 25; hiring, training & development, disciplinary procedures, progression planning.
- Delivery of the maintenance contract in line with SLAs by driving KPIs.
- Management of a £2.5m P&L budget, driving profit and identifying opportunities for projects and extra-works.
- Manage and develop the client relationship, building trust through successful delivery.
EXPERIENCE AND REQUIREMENTS
- Extensive experience in the FM and building maintenance industry, preferably in commercial environments.
- An engineering background and relevant qualifications are preferred (City & Guilds/Apprenticeship)
- Demonstrable experience with successfully and profitably managing P&L budgets.
